TESTIMONIALS FROM OUR STUDENTS
CPR classes:
Desiree Watson, President Hawaii Workplace HR & Payroll Outsource
Island CPR is the place to call for your CPR and First Aid training needs. I took the course about a year ago and am now certified for 2 years. I highly recommend this hands-on training over any online program or any other provider. I feel confident I could be intelligently useful to someone who is injured or suffering cardiac problems. If you have a business, you can have your whole team trained to save lives. Island CPR is well prepared to train with state-of-the-art equipment, video demonstrations and fabulous teachers.,,And they also make it fun!

Some positive feedback on my BLS experience in Hilo today:
- The booking was handled very professionally and courteously by Crystal. She was able to get me a spot before my 31 DEC 2018 deadline to complete the course for my P.T. license renewal. Thank you Crystal.
- The course as presented by Hilary was excellent -- thorough, clear, friendly and encouraging. She also was able to answer all of my questions well. Thank you Hilary.
-This is my second time to your BLS course and both were very good experiences. I will certainly employ your services in the future when the need arises.
Netisha De Lima, Kona Business Owner
Highly recommend. I have been privileged to work alongside as well as being a student of Island CPR. What sets them apart is that they are always up to date with the newest regulations and standards. The staff are very hands on in the education in all services, ensuring that each individual, each student of Island CPR is equipped, trained, and capable to provide the service they are trained to do. An amazing company raising the bar and standards for health care professionals Island wide.My heart is full of gratitude for their service.
Shawn Sato, CPR Student, Kona and Child Learn To Swim Parent
I've been certified before in First Aid and CPR. I've had different instructors and I must say that Kara was awesome. She kept the class interesting and fun yet I learned so much. I was actually surprised how much things changed. I don't need the certification for work or anything and basically just wanted it for the "just in case" It's one of those things I hope to never use but if something comes up at least I know what to do. I've been hearing about their swim classes and the other day I was able to take my nieces. They are in different levels so different classes and I was really impressed with their instructor Crystal. She was very attentive to the kids. She helped them to learn different techniques while keeping it fun. She didn't just teach the basics but also teaches how to float when you get tired. Something I think is very important should they get into trouble in the water. Great company that I would highly recommend to any of my friends.
Pualani
An awesome instructor, in a great classroom setting with plenty of instruction, encouragement, and patience. I absolutely would recommend this class to anyone, the instructor was very thorough in explaining everything, answering questions, and there were plenty of hands on sections where we could practice. And the price is very reasonable considering the amount of knowledge you get, and the handbook is very useful. 5 out of 5, this is the best CPR/AED and first aid course in hilo.
Medical Assistant :
Tess
"Never lost interest! Very informative, we were a class of eight so it was comfortable to participate and ask questions when needed. We had Maria teaching us and she was SUPER SUPPORTIVE, a positive push all the way from the entire staff. I'm hoping to take more classes!"
Marissa P.
"The medical assistant course gave me all the knowledge I need to go into the world of medical assisting. The course is very informal and very hands on and it makes it easy to know what to expect. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and will give you all the tools, information and confidence you need to pass the CCMA exam and on your way to a fulfilling career! "
Charmaine B.
"I would like to thank you, as well as the organizations you are a part of, for allowing me the opportunity to pursue the Medical Assistant program. Mahalo Kalehua for assisting me with all of the prep work involved with the application process, which was basically a foreign language to me. Mahalo to Alu Like for granting me the financial support to attend Island CPR's program, because without that, none of this would have been possible. Mahalo to Island CPR for offering the opportunity; although very progressive, it was a great foundation and start for a new career venture.
I'm happy to say that after completing the MA program at Island CPR, I passed my NHA Exam, and am now working as a Medical Assistant. I am grateful for all of your time and assistance. Each and every one of you played a key role in my success."
Nurse Assistant:
Courtney
Best instructor. All the employees of Island CPR are nice, competent, friendly, and extremely helpful. The instructor and employees do their all to help you. We had potlucks, going out to eat, did a lot of talking story in extra time and breaks, it's a great and friendly environment. It may be more expensive than other classes on island but the environment, people, and education you get is worth every penny. Easy to find, on the same street as Costco but in one of those business centers. Absolutely loved it, the experience, and the people.
Lifeguard:
Colton
"Great Staff! Michael made Lifeguard training very fun, simple, and memorable."
