Class Prerequisties

IslandCPR highly recommends having completed either a Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Nurse Aide (CNA) course prior to taking the Phlebotomy Technician course to have a basic background in medical knowledge before taking a CPT course.

Background in medical work or training also fulfills this requirement.

If you do not have a background in medical training, have not taken a CCMA or CNA class we suggest you START with these courses than take a Phlebotomy course which is specialized training.

Not sure your ready? We are always available to talk!

Prior to class:
  • Students must have a Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from AHA card or obtain certification during the course.
  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Sign a student contract
  • Pay a $300 non-refundable deposit towards tuition
