Financial Assistance Applications from the following programs must be awarded prior to the First Day of Class! Scholarships are not guaranteed, and Individual Payment Plans are available from IslandCPR.
HPGS/ALOH Eldercare Worker Training Award - $500
Program: A grant from Assisted Living Options in Hawaii for persons currently working with or planning to work with older adults. Available year round and does not cover MA textbook.
Requirements: Proof of US high school Diploma or GED, CPR & First Aid Certification, MMR and Hepatitis B Immunization, TB Clearance, Resume, One Page Essay (12 pt. Font, single spaced) detailing why you want to obtain eldercare worker training and what you plan on doing after training is complete, 2 letters of recommendation demonstrating your aptitude towards a career working with elders and commitment to further education.
To Apply: Complete an IslandCPR student contract with Deposit or Financial Approval, complete a Training Awards Application Form (Next Page), include all above paperwork, and email to Jan Thurman at jan.thurman@hawaii.edu.
O.H.A – Career Pathways Program – Tuition Support Varies According To Need
Program: Tuition support from Goodwill Hawaii and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs Career Pathways Program.
Requirements: Native Hawaiians whose household incomes are 300% or below the federal poverty level.

Hana Lima Scholarship Program (HLSP) Alu Like – Scholarship Amount Varies According To Need
