Advanced Cardio
Life Support (ACLS)
Advanced skills for critical care
The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course highlights the importance of high performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). This is accomplished through a series of simulated emergencies with the goal of reinforcing the important concepts of a systematic approach to assessment.
The ACLS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies involving adult patients. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who need a ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.
